Most residents own lakefront properties in this elegant residential community located in Orange County. The suburban neighborhood is named after citrus industry innovator Dr. Phillip Phillips. He is credited with developing novel methods of processing and packaging orange juice, and he possessed a substantial acreage of citrus groves.
The peaceful area of Dr. Phillips is just a brief car ride away from the core of Universal Studios Orlando, where locals can join tourists in vacation mode by eating, drinking, shopping, and playing to their heart's content.

Local Lifestyle
Dr. Phillips is a close-knit neighborhood surrounded by lakes and golf courses. Locals are exposed to fine food and fine arts. Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts is a downtown staple that puts on a variety of theatrical and musical performances. It’s also a preferred venue for comedians and musicians actively on tour.
Every March, thousands of fans attend the Arnold Palmer Invitational professional golf tournament. Golf aficionados either need to register as a member or book accommodations at Arnold Palmer's Bay Hill Club & Lounge to access amenities, such as the spa and fitness center, tennis courts, swimming pool, and last but definitely not least, two golf courses with a combined total of twenty-seven holes.
Dining, Entertainment & Shopping
For the undecided, and parties who find it impossible to unanimously vote on one place to eat, Restaurant Row is the aptly named solution. Foodies will salivate over the cuisines represented here. Establishments with decades of experience in fine dining are Chatham’s Place, a farm-to-table concept with the chef sourcing organic ingredients from his own farm; Christini’s, a five-star Italian ristorante named for its sole proprietor; and Fleming’s, a well-known steakhouse with locations nationwide.

There are several family-friendly locales worth planning day trips around, including the magical Disney Springs. International Drive, abbreviated as I-Drive, is lined with hotels, attractions, retail outlets, and restaurants. Though the road is walkable, a trolley system provides convenient transportation between stops. Buying a day pass is the most cost-effective way to take advantage of this service. The Icon Park entertainment complex is jam-packed with notable amusement park rides, like The Wheel, as well as places to eat, drink, and shop.
Guests of the Mall of Millenia can shop luxury brands while receiving the celebrity treatment with concierge services, such as valet parking, an on-site tailor for alterations, and even complimentary personal styling, and shopping. You will find big brands like Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, and Macy’s. They also have a Pottery Barn, Coach, and Cheesecake Factory at the Mall of Millenia in Dr. Phillips. Construction is underway for an exciting new development, a shopping center called O-Town West, which will be situated between Universal Studios Resort and Walt Disney World.
